Message is only 65 cents cheaper, and I personally pay less than that for Amsoil. Mobil1 EP also has no guidance on use in a forced induction application which is not a big deal but it rubs me the wrong way. I would definitely consider it if I didn't already use Amsoil

It's doing it's job means lubricating- making that nice little cushion between the crankshaft and the bearings. To me oil is oil, I've heard of people running dino oil and getting 300k+ out of their vehicles even Z's (the trick is they did 3k oil changes religiously) The main reason I value Amsoil is that it fights off acid that eats metal inside the engine and it retains it's film strength when other oils break down. I promise you I'm not being biased and I believe you when you say there are better wear protection oils out there but if average oil can protect an engine which is designed to only need a certain amount of wear protection any extra "wear protection" is going to waste *trollface*

Yes that moot point applies for any oil.... it's sort of my way of saying as long as there is oil at the right level that is not in bad condition inside your engine.... there's little you can do to prevent the inevitable wear.

As for backing up my statements ...... I will retract my statements because I don't feel like looking for the information (I'm just too lazy) I will say that I remember reading a few articles of third party tests which showed that information. If someone wants to confirm they can do their own homework.... I personally have nothing to gain by promoting Amsoil I simply like it, use it, and recommend it, I'm not forcing anyone else to use it. They can use it if THEY decide they want to.

*disclaimer*: all that I say may be true or I may be completely wrong and I accept that.... please, it is your duty as another person on the internet to in-politely tell me how wrong I am :)
